About the role

Reporting to Tech Nation’s Strategy Director, the Business Performance Lead has a unique opportunity to get involved with all different types of projects across all areas of the business. This role is central to the success of our teams, and will form a big part of creating a culture of accountability and efficiency. Experience owning a portfolio of projects and coaching the individuals delivering them will be critical for this role. Due to the nature of the role, you will have the opportunity to shape it to suit you and your skills, in a way that allows you to bring the best out of the team and yourself.

We are currently able to offer up to £65k for this role.

A Day in the Life of the Business Performance Lead might look something like this:

• Review progress of Tech Nation’s portfolio of programmes & projects in a dashboard

• Meet with a project owner to help identify how to remove a blocker

• Draft weekly performance report for the Exec team

• Publish an update to the Tech Nation Delivery Manual on Notion

• Meet with a Tech Nationer who is putting together a proposal for a new project, helping them to develop their project plan, resourcing plan and budget

• Discuss key delivery messages for Board report with the Strategy Director

• Prepare slides for the company wide All Hands to update on Tech Nation’s portfolio of programmes & projects

As well as sharing our ambitions and values you will have:

• Experience managing multiple projects across several business units or areas

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Comfortable working in both technical and non-technical environments

• Good interpersonal and influencing skills

• Strong business reporting and analytical skills

• Good organisational/administrative skills and ability to effectively manage a complex workload

• Experience building and facilitating collaborative working relationships

• Strong business acumen with a commercial mindset

• Management experience is desirable but not essential
