About the role
We’re incredibly proud of the grant funded work we do but want to do so much more for our scaleup community. That’s why we’re already working with a network of highly engaged corporate partners and are developing a suite of paid-for products and services that will further power rapid growth for the UK’s scaleup population.
The Client Engagement Lead (CEL) is responsible for generating revenue, across our two main streams - corporates and scaleups. While this role will look after both streams, there will be a significant focus on establishing the scaleup revenue stream as this is a new area for us. We need the CEL to have a strong understanding of both markets and know the right leads to follow and seek out those opportunities.
A Day in the Life of the Client Engagement Lead might look something like this:
- You will have a team reporting to you, we expect the CEL to be a hands-on manager, driving the sales through intelligent positioning and optimisation.
- You will have a strong focus on volume of contracts and drive engagement through data
- You will be responsible for driving the growth platform subscription, through approaching our scaling companies directly.
- It’s your responsibility to sell seats on our courses to prospective customers.
- You play a pivotal role in launching and keeping track of revenue behind new products and services.
- You are a driver and will push the team to hit performance targets.
- Understand how the Entrepreneur Engagement and Community Teams work and seek opportunities with both them and the Client Engagement Director to further enhance revenue.
- Will lead and motivate a highly effective and motivated team.
- Working closely with other teams to identify opportunities.
- Work closely with the Client Engagement Director to build strategy, review contracts and agreements.
- Be able to benchmark proposed revenue levels and optimise our agreements.
